Nature’s Academy garners two distinct honors

Lakewood Ranch Community Fund awards $2000 to Nature's AcademyKeep Manatee Beautiful, an organization dedicated to litter prevention, beautification and environmental improvement, named Nature’s Academy Outstanding Volunteers for 2014 for our Adopt-a-Shore litter collection efforts at Coquina Bayside. We are honored by this recognition and thank Keep Manatee Beautiful for their outstanding outreach and community partnerships to protect our precious shores.

We are also thrilled to announce Lakewood Ranch Community Fund awarded $2000 to Nature’s Academy to support our goal of reaching 2000 students this year! As excited as we are about winning the grant, we are just as excited to announce the School District of Manatee County committed as full partners to help us bring science field trips to every Manatee County fifth grader (just over 3000) this year. With their support, the District catapulted us six years ahead of our 2020 benchmark goal for this program! The power of partnership creates win-win situations for our students, and we applaud all of our supporters for their dedication to the science literacy of the next generation. Together we are stronger. Together we will make a difference.
