What are you doing this weekend? Join Nature’s Academy at MarineQuest 2017! This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 21st from 10AM to 4PM at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute located in St. Petersburg. This annual event celebrates and recognizes the Institute’s hard work and dedication towards science literacy and environmental stewardship, a truly important mission that is near and dear to the heart of Nature’s Academy.
MarineQuest 2017 is free to the public and this event provides a platform for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn more about the beauty of nature and why it is so important to protect. This event was originally created to promote the research performed at the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute while also introducing the world to marine science and marine science education. Since its inception in 1995, MarineQuest has steadily expanded their reach to more than 16,000 people in the last year alone. Take part in this opportunity of a lifetime and come join us as we teach the public about our mission and give them the chance to take part in a marine debris activity.
