Exploring STEM Solutions
From smart phones to smart homes, the information security field seeks to protect it all with fast-track training programs.
Companies, hospitals, banks, and schools are just a few of the facilities that store their information digitally. The need for cybersecurity is higher than ever and it’s got a higher-than-average job growth rate to match. The Department of Labor estimates that demand in this field will increase 28% from 2016-2026.
Udacity, a computer science E-Learning platform, recently announced a 6-12 month Cybersecurity training program. The company is asking for industry partners to help fund scholarships and get first dibs on the newest program graduates that will protect their customer’s sensitive data. Information security training programs also secure data we transmit every day through web browsers and apps. This news is more than welcome in an age where no one bats an eye at a fridge that can send text messages.
